- 1946 – Born in Krasny Liman, Doneck area, Ukraine
- 1958 – First photo camera and first shot
- 1961-1965 – Study in Slavyansk mechanical high school
- 1965-1968 – Sovie army (Tbilisi, Erevan)
- 1969-1974 – Study in Kharkov polytechnic institute
- 1979-1985 – Study in the academy of arts (in the name of Repin) in St. Petersburg
- 1974-1976 – Foundation of the Vremia (Time) creative group, participation in exhibitions
- 1971-1985 – Press photographer for the institute newspaper, TASS, Vechernyj Kharkov and Krasnoe Znamya newspapers, publishing house Prapor and Kharkov advertising combine
- 1990-1993 – Founder and co-owner of the MRK arts gallery (Tallinn, Estonia)
- 1994-2001 – Founder of the Rupin stock photo agency in Vilnius with branches in Riga (Latvia), Tallinn (Estonia), Minsk (Belorussia), Kiev (Ukraine) and Moscow (Russia).
